To correct myself, I believe the title can be changed to “is” America’s downfall. The two parties have never been more polar opposite than before the Civil War. Now, I am eighteen and don’t know quite much about the politics of America and what it is truly like to be an adult in this country. But, what I have learned this past year is that, frankly, the two-party system is not helping us out one bit.
